If future historians were to come back and explore life in the year 2003, they would find a treasure trove of information through one source: our calendars!
It took thousands of years to capture the movement of the heavens in the grid of small squares we call our calendar. Each of us is allotted thousands of these squares over a lifetime, and how we use them determines the kind of life we shall live.
Here are two tips on how to get the best use out of your 365 squares:
- Use one calendar to record all meetings, appointments, and social engagements. Multiple calendars lead to duplicate or missed appointments, frequent confusion, and provide few benefits. If you must maintain duplicate calendars for your secretary or on your computer, update the copies daily to assure accuracy.
- Don't mix reminder or to-do lists with your appointments. Use a separate daily to-do list for miscellaneous tasks.
