Biography - Dennis Jenkins


As The International Program Director for the Selling & Negotiating and Customer Service Suites of programs for Priority Management International Inc.,  Dennis draws on forty years experience in senior sales, marketing and management roles to provide the world class sales, negotiation and customer service training programs.

For the previous 16 years, before selling the business, Dennis was Joint Managing Director of David Forman International, one of Australasia’s leading sales and sales management corporate training companies. He led the team of business-proven senior associates who acted as program developers and facilitators to ensure the outcomes for organizations was performance based and results oriented. His team consulted on a continuous basis with the management of over 200 national and multinationals, and trained or coached over 5000 business people a year in sales, negotiation and management skills.

Prior to joining David Forman, Dennis held a variety of executive sales management, marketing and general management positions with a major Australasian financial services group. Major shareholders included Fletcher Challenge (NZ), Security Pacific (USA) and Westpac (Aust). Dennis’s management roles included Group Investment Manager (with a field sales force of thirty investment specialists), GM Personal Banking (responsible for all personal financial services products including savings and loan operations, Diners, Visa and Amex Gold cards and cash management accounts), and GM Corporate Relations (all HR and HRD, organization marketing, and new product development).

During his early career, Dennis worked for the AMP Society, an international life and general insurance company. He held various management positions with AMP over ten years, including new business, claims and commercial and share investment divisions.

Dennis is a regular guest speaker at business functions and conferences. He is also a published author whose work includes a major business book, Negotiation Skills (Penguin). His work draws on his experience as a successful business professional, and his passion for performance improvement as a means of achieving corporate goals, and personal and professional development.

Primarily offering what is called ‘soft-skills’ training consulting, Dennis ensures his approach is ‘hard’. Training methods, program structure and content, pre and post activities are all combined to develop successful on the job attitudes, skills and behaviours to achieve business and personal goals.

He has a B.Com (Economics) from Victoria University, is a fellow of the Australian Insurance Institute, an associate fellow of the NZ Institute of Management, and has a graduate teaching diploma.
